Chelmsford Historical Map 1921 -1922
Discover the landscape of the past with these fascinating historical maps. Based on the popular one-inch ordinance survey maps, the Chelmsford Historical map shows a time before the Chelmsford southern bypass and the new A130 dual carriage way was completed.
Apart from the county town and its environs, the map covers Billericay, Braintree, Epping and Harlow.
It was a time when a train line ran from Braintree through Great Dunmow and connected with Bishops Stortford and there was no airport at Stansted large or small.
Each map is printed in full colour superimposed with modern-day British National grid for ease of reference.
