London City Airport was first conceived as part of the regeneration of the London Docklands at the beginning of the 1980s.
The first commercial services operated from the airport in October 1987 and the airport was officially opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II in November the same year.
The airport has since become a hub for people travelling to and from the City of London.
The author brings London City Airport Through Time to life with a wonderful collection of photographs and interviews with some of key people involved in the airports development.
